Doctrine
We believe the Holy Scriptures to be the verbal inspired words of God, authoritative, and without error in the original manuscripts. We further believe that the scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments is the authority for Salvation and Christian living.
2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; Philippians 1:27
We believe that there is One God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, as the Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh; He is both God and man. Genesis 1:26; Matthew 28:19
We believe everyone has sinned and needed salvation. No one can enter the kingdom of God unless born again spiritually. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ alone.
John 3:17-18; Ephesians 2:8; 1 John 2:2
We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion of a professing believer into water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:38, 10:47
We believe the Lord’s Supper is a memorial administered with bread and wine designed to commemorate Christ’s death and exhibit believers’ communion with Him as well as each other.
Luke 22:19; Acts 2:42; 1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-26
We believe as Christians we are to love God and others unconditionally. We should live a holy life separating from worldly practices according to the authoritative words of God.
Romans 12:1; Galatians 5:16, 25; 2 Corinthians 5:9-17
We believe gender immutably corresponding to our biological sex, with our male and female reproductive structures integral to God’s design for our self-conception as men and women. Both Adam and Eve were created in God’s image, equal before God as persons and distinct in their roles are ordained by God as part of the created order manhood and womanhood. Genesis 1:26-27, 2:18; 1 Corinthians 11:7-9; 1 Timothy 2:12-14
We believe marriage is the oldest institution, extending back to the Garden of Eden. It is a designed union consisting of one man and one woman instituted by God that began with Adam and Eve. Genesis 2:18, 21-24; Ephesians 5:22-23
We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ. The bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting bliss of the saved and the everlasting conscious suffering of the lost.
2 Corinthians 5:8; Revelation 20:11-15; 21:1-27
